The benefits of using a Kegerator
on-pasteurized beer lasts longer:
Most beers, especially Craft beers are not pasteurized during the brewing process. During the kegging process, non-pasteurized draft beers are chilled to the point that the bacteria, which ferments the beer, becomes dormant.
Temperatures above 3-degree Celsius will cause non-pasteurized draft beers to foam and promote sour and or cloudy beer. When the temperature of non-pasteurized draft beers rise above 10-degrees Celsius, the dormant bacteria which ferments the beer will once again become active, and growth will rapidly begin to spoil the flavor and cloud the beer (secondary fermentation).
Therefore, non-pasteurized beers must be stored in a fridge to keep the beer chilled. The Kegerator is a draft beer dispensing system, which can maintain a tapped keg for extended periods of time, without losing any quality or taste of the beer.
